Eating Healthy during the Holidays

During the Holidays is essential that you do not expect yourself to be perfect!  It is best that you try to eat as healthy as you can but do expect to sample some of the many sweets and desserts that you will find in front of you.

DO NOT SKIP GETTING SOME EXERCISE EACH DAY THOUGH.  You can still run - walk - hike-  pushups - yoga, etc each day.  Get up early before everyone if you have to

And get a healthy breakfast - eggs - whole wheat cereal - fruit - etc  and that means bring it or go buy the food if you have too.   Also you can blend up a protein shake too.

Then try and make the other meals count too.   Volunteer to cook some meal - make chicken-vegetables-rice,  taco's with all of the salad you can put in them.   You can always find something that will be healthy.

Then relax and  HAVE FUN!  Do not count calories

Went out to dinner last night with my Daughters Family to Buffalo Wild Wings!  Had a blast!

Then up this morning at 6:30 AM for hike and run in the snow.   Went about 4 miles.  No matter what you eat or do the night before, if you can make yourself get up and get exercise the next day you will be starting the day off brand new!

And you will start it off with discipline too!

Been training in the snow - running sprints and hiking and also have exercise mat, two 25lb dumbbells, jump rope, and perfect pushups stands.  And that is all you need to keep in shape when traveling.

One hour routine -

curls
pushups
sit ups
dumbbell presses
lat pulls
jump rope

Followed by 2 mile sprints in the snow
